Sourav Ganguly, one of the most successful captains of the Indian cricket team, has officially become the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
Dada was handed the command of the highest post of BCCI at BCCI headquarters in Mumbai at around 11 am today. During the annual meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, all the officials including Jai Shah and COA chief Vinod Rai were present during this period.
After a long gap of about 30 months, now someone has been appointed to this post of BCCI. In the year 2017, the entire work of the Board of Control for Cricket in India was being done under the supervision of the Committee of Administrators. Which was handled by the remaining members along with former CAG Vinod Rai and former Indian women captain Edulji. But now with the appointment of Ganguly to this post, his term is also over.
According to the information, Dada Sourav Ganguly will be the 39th President of BCCI. Not only this, Sourav Ganguly has been selected for this post without any protest. Ganguly’s term will be 10 months from now.
Apart from Ganguly, Jai Shah, son of Union Minister Amit Shah and former President of Gujarat State Cricket Association, will take over the post of secretary in the new BCCI team.
Sourav Ganguly has 113 Tests, 311 ODIs for India and has a long experience of cricket.
