He was born on December 21, 1963 in Mumbai and she is married to Shweta Bhatt. He studied at Hill Grange High School in Mumbai and later at St. Xavier’s High School in Ahmedabad. His father Rajendra Bhatt was a manager in the Hutheesing textile mill in Ahmedabad and his mother’s name is Shakuntalaben. He obtained an M. Tech. degree from the IIT, Bombay in 1985.
He was terminated from services on 19 August 2015 on the ground of “unauthorized absence” from service.
