Bouhlel was shot dead by French police officers attempting to force him to stop his truck.

Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel Wiki and Biography: Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel was born in M’saken, Tunisia, a small town about 10 km (six miles) outside the coastal city of Sousse. According to Wikipedia, Bouhlel is believed to have moved to France in 2005 and worked as a delivery-truck driver. Bouhlel had a history of petty crime, including burglary and theft. His name was not in the French database of suspected Islamic militants.
Between 2010-2016 he was involved in threats, acts of violence, robbery and property damage. He was sentenced March 24, 2016 by the correctional tribunal of Nice for acts of threats with a gun.
Mohamed used to frequently visit Tunisia. The last time was eight months ago, before he went back to France.
Wife and Family: Bouhlel was married and have three children. Bouhlel’s parents are divorced and they live in France.
